Who do we want in our worship
services?
We would be pleased to have you come and
worship with us, no matter who you are or how you look.
What does this mean in real terms?
1 Samuel
16:7b reads, "...God sees not as man sees, for man
looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the
heart.". So what do we
really mean?
1. We
as God's people try to look on all people as God does, without
regard to external appearance or personal influence. This is
GOD's church, and we are to reflect His mindset in how we
treat all people.
2. You will be
warmly welcomed
regardless of race and ethnicity, clothes, hair, bodily
appearance, smell, speech, and any other external
factor.
3. We are baptized into
one body of Christ. If you are a born-again
Christian, you are encouraged to both worship and take communion
with us, even if you're not a member or regular
attender.
How do we
worship?
- Teaching and
preaching: the teaching and preaching of the Bible is
central to all we do when we come together as a
body.
- Psalms, hymns, spiritual
songs: our worship incorporates both traditional and
contemporary styles of music and songs. We believe it is
critical that we do as Paul says in Ephesians 5:19, "Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the
Lord."

Prayer
- Giving of
yourself: our emphasis is NOT on giving money, that is
between you and the Lord. We do encourage you in whatever
place God puts you that you be a faithful steward of His resources,
which includes your gifts/talents, time, and
resources.
- Fellowship: all
are encouraged to break bread together as often as possible, pray
for each other, support each other in real terms, in all ways
honoring God in our relationships with each
other.
